Fred Starker, CPA
Partner

Fred began his career in the real estate industry in 1981, and joined Imowitz Koenig & Co., LLP in 1992. Fred specializes in financial reporting and audits of publicly and privately held real estate businesses in addition to regularly consulting on financial and SEC reporting, acquisition due diligence, internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Fred’s background also includes significant involvement with hospitality, service, distribution, manufacturing and alternative energy companies. Before joining Imowitz Koenig & Co., LLP, Fred was a Vice President of Integrated Resources, Inc., where he was responsible for partnership accounting and financial reporting for over 100 publicly and privately held partnerships which owned a $4 billion portfolio of operating real estate.  Fred was also Treasurer of Integrated Resources Inc.'s property management subsidiary, which managed ten million square feet of office properties, three million square feet of retail properties and 10,000 residential units.  Previously, Fred was Chief Financial Officer of Berg Harmon Associates which owned and managed in excess of 100 residential and commercial properties.  Fred holds a Bachelor’s degree from the City University of New York’s Queens College and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and served on the NYSSCPA’s Real Estate Committee. Since 1997, Fred has been a member of the NYSSCPA’s SEC Practice Committee.
